- Form strategic alliances among like-minded diaspora organisations and other relevant stakeholders in the Netherlands and beyond;
- Provide migrant organisations a platform where they can exchange information, share insights, ideas, experiences, face challenges together, and learn from each other’s experiences;
- Stimulate active participation of diasporas in the discussion and in the generation of ideas, policy insights and legitimate aspirations that would strengthen and increase their critical voice in the policy making process in the field of migration and development;
- Harness and mobilise the potentials of the diasporas -- their financial and social capital, knowledge and social networks -- in order to contribute more effectively in the development of both their host and countries of origin; and
- Improve collaborations between and among diaspora organisations and development agencies, and with other stakeholders such as relevant government line-agencies, local authorities, multilateral organisations, private sector, civil society, etc.
